MAGIC Fashion Trade Show, also referred to as MAGIC Las Vegas, is the largest fashion trade show in the United States, taking place twice a year in Las Vegas, Nevada. During these events, thousands of retailers, designers and brands from around the world travel to the show to discover the freshest trends for apparel, shoes and accessories.
Although MAGIC has been in existence for many years, the name comes from the Men’s Apparel Guild in California. With the growth of the trade show to include women’s and children’s fashion, MAGIC became a major place for business, creativity and networking for the fashion community around the world.
This show is ONLY for the fashion industry and NOT open to the public. The attendees include retail buyers of boutique and department store retailers, designers, brands, and media and other fashion professionals.

MAGIC Fashion Trade Show Over Time
MAGIC’s development demonstrates the fashion industry’s changeable nature. Founded in 1933, MAGIC was firstly a small trade fair organized by a handful of menswear makers situated in Southern California.
MAGIC’s growth included women’s, children’s, shoes, and accessories. MAGIC officially grew when it took the leap to Las Vegas in 1989. Las Vegas brought them more space and better venues.
After the rise in women’s apparel, children’s apparel, shoes, and accessories emerged, in the 1990s and early 2000s, MAGIC became a way to showcase streetwear and hip-hop style. MAGIC attracted brands like Ecko Unltd and was the first showing for many streetwear brands.
To meet the growing needs of the industry, MAGIC introduced SOURCING at MAGIC, a dedicated area connecting buyers with global manufacturers and suppliers. Another division introduced was PROJECT, which showcases contemporary and modern fashion for men and women, catering to a trendier market segment.
To sum up, MAGIC went into COVID with a plan B, which was to pivot quickly into a hybrid model of a physical trade show and digital engagement platforms for industry engagement. One of the benefits of the hybrid model for attendees is an app that allows attendees to navigate their surroundings, view interactive maps, check for event information, and browse brands, all to enrich the show experience.
MAGIC has transformed, in recent years, from simply a trade exhibition, to a more engaged “fashion experience.” Its activities are centered on content. For example, there were many photo-op installations, social-media-friendly experiences, and charm-bracelet workshops facilitated by jewelry brands. A variety of panel discussions on sustainability, size-inclusive, and consumer trends, which are important to the future of the industry, were also staged.
Event Activities in MAGIC Fashion Trade Show – Las Vegas
The 2025 edition featured a new level of immersive experience. This immersive experience includes the Vibe Space, a community driven space that provided a variety of unique experiences, like aura readings, fashion illustration and bracelet making workshops.
There was also a special installation dedicated to Vegan Fashion Week and a Social Good exhibition highlighting environmentally friendly practices. It also published a seasonal trend guide for buyers.
MAGIC is all about showcasing a dynamic assortment of segments and activations. This includes:
Product and Trend Showcase
MAGIC is the destination for buyers to discover the upcoming season’s newest trends in apparel, footwear, and accessories. Participants will have an opportunity to view collections from established brands as well as new brands.
Separate Divisions
MAGIC includes many separate events that target specific market niches. To begin with, MAGIC presents women’s fashion ideas focusing on trends like youthful contemporary, fast fashion, athletic, etc., and is in New York to inspire a fresh approach to these categories. Secondly, PROJECT is focused on innovative and modern styles in menswear and womenswear with a focus on streetwear style. Third, SOURCING at MAGIC creates an avenue for buyers and brands within the MAGIC show to connect and partner with manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers globally. This is where the ‘business’ of manufacturing will take place.
Networking and Learning
Outside of seeing ‘product’, the event will have educational programming including panels with experts that focus on trends in the industry, retail strategy and sustainability. Additionally, MAGIC shows are well known for their networking events that consist of happy hours and entertainment among other special events that provide attendees a chance to network in a relaxed setting.
The event also provides discovery and exclusivity. Buyers can find exclusive collections at the event and leave with unique merchandise for their stores.
MAGIC Fashion Trade Show – Las Vegas is definitely one of those fashion events worthy of a trip. It’s more than just viewing merchandise, the experience itself is centered around commerce, trends, and community.
